Rotary International believes the primary source for additional funds can and should be governments of polio-free industrialized countries. Your contribution through Rotary will help ensure that we keep doing our part to get the job

It is fueled by hydrogen and electricity, emits water as by-product and none of the greenhouse gases.

Hydrogen can be obtained from, of course, refilling stations, but is also obtained from methane or natrural gas, bio-mass, etc. Honda says soon, people can have their own home hydrogen energy generators that uses natural gas.

FCX Clarity: Principal Specifications (U.S. Model)
http://money.cnn.com/2008/06/16/autos/honda_zev.ap/index.htm?cnn=yes
http://jalopnik.com/cars/news/honda-hydrogen-fcx-coming-in-2008-259716.php

EVEN IF HE DOES NOT . . . .

For my new network friends, from Pastor Ariel's blog:
EVEN IF HE DOES NOT...

Prayer. A topic that can be very elusive or misunderstood many times. Many people think that prayer is just a method of letting God know your thoughts or more importantly your requests. I'm not claiming that I know everything there is about prayer. But i know that it is a means of communicating with God. You talk to Him and He speaks to you in return. Is it really that simple? Maybe or maybe not. There are so many verses in the bible that talk about prayer. And many of them are promises of God's answer, miracles and breakthroughs.

If one does not receive a positive answer to his prayer, is it because of a lack of faith? Is the method of prayer wrong? Is it a judgment from God? Did it just fall on deaf ears? READ THE ARTICLE>

Are you ready for this: Air-powered cars?

The best car for our future: Powered by air?

06/26/08
from: Inquirer.net blogs
Posted under Digoy Fernandez

TREE huggers and those who lament the use or abuse of non-renewable resources, especially in the generation of energy and power, should take a long hard look at the proposed technology that is being touted by Motor Development Inc. founder Guy Negre and his manufacturer of choice, Tata Motors.

Yes, the same Tata Motors that has dared to bring forth the $2,500 car — while purchasing high-end Jaguar and Land Rover from a sputtering Ford Motor Company. The car invented by Mr. Negre is powered by compressed air. A full load of compressed air that can presumably be available in many or most gas stations takes only a few minutes to load and will take the prototype car a full 125 miles (200 km).

Now one has to take a long hard look at the Indian market and realize just how practical they are about their cars. The Maruti car company manufactures a local version of the Suzuki Alto...

Viagra is also performance booster for athletes

Athletes may be using Viagra for competitive edge

LONDON (AP) -- Athletes looking for a performance boost appear to be turning to a little blue pill more usually taken for its off-the-field benefits: Viagra.
But experts are divided over whether it actually offers athletes an edge.

Some sports authorities say the drug is now finding a following among athletes. It isn't clear how many might be taking it in hopes of improving athletic performance.

It also has attracted the attention of the World Anti-Doping Agency. The agency is studying Viagra's effects in athletes, but hasn't yet banned it. Viagra is not on the International Olympic Committee's list of prohibited drugs, so athletes can take it at the Beijing Olympics.

Viagra, also known as sildenafil, is manufactured by Pfizer Inc. It originally was developed as a heart drug; its use as a treatment for erectile dysfunction was accidentally discovered.

The drug works by increasing the effects of nitric oxide, which makes blood...

TIME-CNN: 17 High School Girls in Pregnancy Pact

    Pregnancy Boom at Gloucester High
By KATHLEEN KINGSBURY

As summer vacation begins, 17 girls at Gloucester High School are expecting babies—more than four times the number of pregnancies the 1,200-student school had last year. Some adults dismissed the statistic as a blip. Others blamed hit movies like Juno and Knocked Up for glamorizing young unwed mothers. But principal Joseph Sullivan knows at least part of the reason there's been such a spike in teen pregnancies in this Massachusetts fishing town. School officials started looking into the matter as early as October after an unusual number of girls began filing into the school clinic to find out if they were pregnant. By May, several students had returned multiple times to get pregnancy tests, and on hearing the results, "some girls seemed more upset when they weren't pregnant than when they were," Sullivan says. All it took was a few simple questions before nearly half the expecting students, none older than 16, confe...

">1. NO BREAKFAST. People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blodd sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2. OVEREATING. It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. SMOKING. It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer's disease.

4. HIGH SUGAR CONSUMPTION. Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5..AIR POLLUTION. The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6. SLEEP DEPRIVATION. Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.
<p style="text-align: left;
